 Meridian Title, LLC, is Metropolitan Washington’s premier full-service real estate title, settlement and escrow company, handling commercial and residential real estate transactions in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. We settle commercial and residential new construction, purchases, resales, refinances, tax-deferred (IRC 1031, Starker, etc.) exchanges, and assist lenders in establishing secured lines of credit, title and judgment searches, mortgage increases/modifications and foreclosure sale transactions. In addition to our offices throughout Maryland, D.C., and Virginia, we accommodate on-site closings, so that borrowers can have their transactions conducted at their choice of location, whether it is at their home, office, their realtor’s office or another convenient location. We can also conduct settlements in English and Spanish. Many clients and colleagues ask us, "Are you a franchise?" Actually, we are not. We are proud to be an independent title, settlement and escrow agency, and though there have been some entities similarly named, we're the genuine Meridian Title, LLC. Meridian Title, LLC, was started in November 2002 by Jennifer E. Holt and Raymond R. Sidney-Smith, combining our legal backgrounds and our competencies in real estate, management and technology.
